u.gg cOMBO dATABASE
I was tasked with assisting in the development and execution of a rhythm game inspired input display system for League of Legends tutorial content for U.GG. The bars that slowly move downwards are used to precisely indicate input timings, helping players to grasp the combo sequences effectively. In addition to the visual cues, artificial keypress noises are inserted to give further assistance.
The project involved developing the toolkit to render out six videos each for the 153 champions in the game at the time, resulting in a substantial library of 750+ individual videos. Organization of the moving pieces was the biggest challenge with this project, as the number of inputs and timings were variable across the different videos. This meant that modularity of the individual parts was extremely important. As I got used to the system, the process became much more efficient, and we were able to tackle the whole roster over the span of half a year.
individual animations
In addition to the above, I worked on animations for use in partnered streams, promotional content, etc.
