Scrabble Livestream Production
Since early 2018, I’ve been the production lead on a team broadcasting some of the most prestigious competitive Scrabble tournaments at the request of various tournament organizers under the umbrella of the governing bodies that oversee competitive play in North America and worldwide. That work culminated in my team’s coverage of the 2023 World Scrabble Championships, held in Las Vegas, NV. The event featured 129 of the highest rated competitors representing 29 different countries.
I handled stream layout design, animation of motion graphics, livestreaming, coordination of broadcast talent, and post-production of the footage. Our goal was to emulate the texture and detailing of Vegas’ gambling tables, featuring the commonly seen felt tabletops with their gaudy printed graphics.
