The Red Bull LAN was a DOTA 2 event with a rather interesting format. I was contacted to design and animate a promotional animation illustrating the workings of the format.
Influence was created for a joint class between the ITGM and MOME departments of SCAD's digital media program. The framework for the project was built in Processing, based on a kinect library that was initially created for projection mapped visuals on pool tables.
Conceptually, the piece is meant to focus on the relation between individuals, and their exchange of ideas or relations. Each individual has a field in which particles generated by the three stationary pylons can be pulled in and claimed. Upon closing within a certain distance of another individual, the particles will exchange between the two.

A series of style frames designed for the Battle of the Boards 48-hour workshop hosted by Greg Herman and MOMELOVE, SCAD's Motion Design student organization.
Our task was to create a set of frames detailing a title sequence for Nicolas Winding Refn's "Drive," a film starring Ryan Gosling and Carrey Mulligan. We chose to open with the imagery of a bird's eye view street map, tracking the path of the '76 Malibu as it carved out an outline of the scorpion featured on the protagonist's jacket in bold, pink strokes. The title was also redesigned, featuring hand-designed text by Daniel Visconti.
Team Anecho consisted of Rick Kuan, Daniel Visconti, Isabella Carapella, and Christian Kay.
Short piece featuring a Perfect Grade RX-78-2 Gundam model put together, filmed, and composited with analytics visual effects to detail the systems and weaponry.

Keychatter exists as a news hub of sorts in the mechanical keyboard enthusiast subculture. Since the hobby is mainly comprised of collecting boards and purchasing limited-run keycap sets, it serves as a site that keeps track of the ongoing events in the community, helping users to avoid missing out on rare or limited edition merchandise. It also features interviews with prominent designers & members of the community, along with reviews of new commercial products that are of interest.
A mobile app would streamline the process of accessing the information from mobile devices, as the usual mobile browsers don’t function particularly well with the site. The various posts would be accessible by content type (commercial news, group buys,
maker sets, etc.) or in a feed of most recent content.
